Kupwara encounter : Trooper killed, operation continues | KNO

A trooper was killed in an ongoing encounter between militants and government forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The identity of the trooper is yet to be ascertained. Earlier, the gunfight erupted in Gujarpati Zurhama area of Kupwara. According to the reports, the government troops cordoned the forest area of Zurhama following the inputs about the presence of militants in the area. They said that as soon as they reached near a hideout, militants fired upon the forces trigging an encounter.
